We aim to offer a flexible package of services to meet each client’s individual requirements. Once you have contacted us we will send you a detailed brochure in a Q & A format that will hopefully help you to decide if our service is right for you. When you decide to go ahead, we will spend a great deal of time finding out about your particular requirements in terms of preferred days, times, type of person you might like etc. When we have found a worker or choice of workers to match your requirements we will ask them to contact you directly to arrange a meeting. Hopefully, if you are happy, that person will become your regular worker from then on.

We spend time constantly recruiting and vetting potential workers so that you don’t have to. Only a few pass our rigorous selection process and make it on to our workers register. Many people who contact us turn out to be unsuitable at interview or when we check out their references.

All potential workers must provide proof of identity, proof of address and at least two written references that we always check. We also retain an up-to-date photo of each applicant. All information we hold is available for our clients to view at any time

We are happy to say that many of our workers have been introduced to us through recommendations from friends and relatives already with the agency.

Cleaning

Many people simply require a single or perhaps a couple of sessions of cleaning and/or ironing rather than have a regular service – perhaps a once-a-year thorough and deep clean in addition to your normal cleaning routine or maybe you are moving house and need help with sprucing up your existing or intended new home?

Whatever the circumstances we will do our utmost to help. Many of our current regular clients actually started with us this way! We have a separate pricing structure for one-off spring cleans/temporary help reflecting the fact that our service is not the same as for the full regular cleaning/ironing service. We also have a minimum charge – we will explain all of this when you call us.

We offer a separate Ironing Collection Service. Our worker will arrange to collect clean laundry from you (or you can drop it off at their home), then it will be ironed to your requirements and returned to you at a mutually convenient time.

As with our cleaning service, we encourage you to meet the worker in advance to discuss your particular preferences for ironing e.g. should shirts/blouses be folded or put on hangers, do you prefer quantity to quality or vice versa?

Arrangements for paying the worker and our agency fee are different for our Ironing Collection Service compared with our regular cleaning/ironing service and further information is available upon request.

As well as the payment to the worker you also pay Little Treasures an on-going agency fee that covers the following services:

Recruitment and selection of a register of quality workers
Ironing carried out in a smoke-free environment away from animal hairs and strong odours
Providing cover for holidays, sickness and other absences of your regular worker
Replacement of a worker if you are dissatisfied or she/he leaves and arranging temporary cover in between workers if necessary

We offer a regular and reliable cleaner/ironer for your home. We always provide you with the opportunity to speak with and meet the worker before she/he commences work for you. This allows you to show her/him around and discuss your exact requirements in terms of your own standards and priorities. Also, the worker will use the equipment and cleaning materials provided by the client so you know exactly what is being used in your own home.

You pay the worker directly in cash after each session unless you come to some other mutually agreed arrangement. We operate a variable worker rate system and the actual amount that you pay your worker will depend on factors such as your location and the need for transport to get to you and the availability of workers in your area. There are no extras payable to the worker unless you personally wish to make an extra payment – say for a particularly good job, working over a Bank Holiday or perhaps where a worker has to travel a considerable distance to get to you, that sort of thing – but it is entirely up to you.

As well as the payment to the worker you also pay Little Treasures an on-going agency fee that covers the following services:

Insurance cover for damage to property and possessions and the worker themselves (subject to our standard conditions)
Replacement of a worker if you are dissatisfied or she/he leaves and arranging temporary cover in between workers if necessary
